What is different about this conference compared to past Big West Rotaract conferences?

This event features a slightly different format than previous Big West Rotaract conferences. Through BWR’s growing partnership with our Rotary zones and in attempt to better integrate Rotaract and Rotary members as a result of Rotaract becoming a membership type, we are piloting holding our annual conferences jointly.

Rest assured, the things you love about Big West Rotaract conferences will still be there. This event will feature inspirational presenters from within Rotary and outside, relevant and thought provoking topics, and top-notch entertainment. There will be plenty of social opportunities and you are sure to leave the event inspired!

The cost for this event is higher than the average Big West Rotaract Conference in order to provide the highest caliber experience. In addition to rising costs in recent months and years, the cost of the event is higher due to hosting the event at a hotel/conference center with Rotary Zones 26-27 (whereas previous Big West Rotaract conferences were held at more affordable locations, such as university campuses).

We are pleased to offer Rotaract members (including dual members) a highly discounted rate ($195 instead of $375).

Note that a meal plan purchase is required in addition to the event registration. By having options for meal plans, we are able to offer more affordable options than including all meals.

We recommend purchasing the Rotaract-specific meal plan, which includes only the Saturday Gala dinner for $125. If you are arriving Thursday, you should purchase the “Limited” meal package which includes the Thursday evening Mix and Mingle Event for $220. The full meal package is $415.

There are plenty of nearby options to purchase meals not included in the meal packages, and the conference schedule should permit time to pickup food without missing key components of the program.

We encourage you to solicit support from your sponsoring clubs or your district to participate in this event. If you would like help finding support, or have any other questions, please connect with us at

When should I arrive to Salt Lake City?

If you can arrive in time to participate in the sessions all day Thursday November 10th, then we recommend doing that to get the most out of your event registration. See all the great session opportunities on Thursday here.

We understand, though, that not everyone will be able to attend Thursday during the day due to work or school commitments. In this case, you should plan to arrive Thursday evening so you can participate all-day Friday. As the Friday is Veterans Day in the US and Remembrance Day in Canada, many universities & workplaces have the day off as a holiday.

What COVID protocols will be in place during the event?

All pertinent COVID safety protocols will be followed at the event. Registered attendees will be made aware of any specific requirements.
